Dual Masters Degree

Theological Studies/Divinity & Social Work

If you are called to ministry as a licensed social worker in the church or a faith-based setting, you may complete your M.Div. or M.A. degree from Northeastern Seminary and the MSW degree from Roberts in less time. Northeastern Seminary offers a dual-degree program with the Master of Social Work (MSW) program at Roberts Wesleyan College.

The place God calls you to is the place where your deep gladness and the world's deep hunger meet."

Frederick Buechner, Wishful Thinking: A Theological ABC

To receive the dual degree, you must complete all of the credit requirements for the MSW degree in addition to 53 required credits for the M.Div. program or an additional 32 required credits for the M.A. program.

M.A. + M.S.W. IN 3.5 YEARS

1.5 Years of Seminary + 2 Years at Roberts

M.DIV. + M.S.W. IN 4.5 YEARS

Time to completion may vary depending on the number of credits taken each semester. Students with a Bachelor of Social Work degree may further shorten the time to completion by applying to the MSW program's advanced standing option.
