Adjunct Professor

Rev. Dr. Charles Meeks has served as adjunct professor of theology at Northeastern Seminary since 2016, teaching courses across the areas of theology and ministry. He currently resides in Hamilton, Ontario, where he serves as Ecumenical Chaplain at McMaster University. Charles is an ordained deacon in the Anglican Diocese of Niagara, and serves part-time at St. Paul’s Anglican Church near the university. He formerly served within the Wesleyan Methodist Church of Australia.
Charles earned a BA in religion from Houghton College in Houghton, New York, and an MA in biblical studies from Asbury Theological Seminary in Wilmore, Kentucky. He completed his PhD in theology at Wycliffe College/University of St. Michael’s College in the University of Toronto. His teaching and research interests are broad, but often highlight the intersection of historical theology, exegesis, and sacramentology.
He shares his life with his amazing partner Amy and their son Edwin; you can usually find them at one of Hamilton’s many parks…or coffee shops, depending on the weather.
