This course examines the spiritual formation process in children and youth, exploring how faith develops and matures across various stages of growth. Through both theoretical study and experiential learning, the course equips future leaders with tools to create faith-based environments that engage and inspire younger generations, cultivating meaningful and lasting connections to their spirituality.

Learning Objectives:

By the end of this course, students will be able to:

  • Develop skills in personal spiritual direction through increased attentiveness and responsiveness to God's active presence in one's own life and in the lives of others and in the world

  • Identify the stages of spiritual development in children and youth.

  • Explore and develop creative strategies for engaging children and youth in their spiritual journeys.
