Children and Youth Ministries - Ministerio de Jóvenes y Niños

 This course focuses on the principles, practices, and challenges of ministering to children and youth in Christian communities. A key component of this course is fieldwork, where students will spend time at their local Hispanic church developing and implementing a curriculum designed for children and youth ministries. Through reflection, discussion, and hands-on activities, students will gain the skills needed to create impactful and inclusive programs tailored to the unique needs of young people.

Learning Objectives:

By the end of this course, students will be able to:

  • Demonstrate essential competencies in ministerial contexts.

  • Identify key biblical and theological principles that guide ministry to children and   youth. 

  • Explore various ministry models and strategies for engaging young people in faith communities. 

  • Develop and implement a curriculum through fieldwork at your local Hispanic church.
