Biblical Hebrew

This course takes a unique approach to introducing Old Testament Hebrew to those preparing for ministry in the 21^st century. A basic assumption underlying this approach to the introduction of Old Testament Hebrew is that the student’s goal is not to teach Hebrew as a scholar, but to use it in the study of the Old Testament as a minister. The focus in this course is to gain a conceptual understanding of Old Testament Hebrew, not on memorizing all the paradigms, specific details, “rules,” and “exceptions” involved. Students will be required to memorize a basic vocabulary.
