His doctoral dissertation thesis investigated church revitalization efforts with a focus on the impact of American individualism on revitalization through discipleship. Dr. Baker currently serves as a chaplain resident at the University of Rochester Medical Center and is developing a specialty in Palliative-Hospice Oncological Chaplaincy. He is particularly passionate about working with patients to understand their illnesses and build a narrative with his patients and families as they face the outcomes of their illnesses.
