Northeastern Seminary now offers graduate-level courses toward
Master of Divinity and Master of Arts degrees at the Onondaga
Community College campus in Syracuse, N.Y.
Ministry leaders, both lay and ordained, can more easily balance
and integrate their current professional and ministry contexts with
their preparation for service at seminary.
Take Classes for the Following Degrees
- Tuesday and Thursday evening seminary classes in a convenient,
- Classes broadcast live from Rochester via video
- On-site spiritual formation offerings including chapels and
faith sharing groups
- Up to 68 credits of M.Div. degree and a significant portion of
the M.A. degree can be completed in Syracuse via distance learning
(interactive video/online); remaining courses conveniently
scheduled on Northeastern's main campus in Rochester
Video Conferencing Model
As part of a comprehensive distance education program, and in service to the greater central
New York State region, accredited master's level courses are
offered via video conferencing. This capability links the community
of learners in Syracuse and Northeastern's main campus in
Rochester, N.Y. through live video feed, providing a real-time,

allows for multidirectional streaming so professors can teach from
either the Rochester or Syracuse location. They can engage students
through lecture and multimedia resources at both sites and students
can interact with each other as well. This classroom format is
integrated with on-site small group interactions and periodic
chapel services to enhance community and provide instruction in
spiritual formation-a distinctive of the NES education. A scheduled
rotation of seminary staffing at the Syracuse site, steady
communication among members of the seminary community, and cohort

- Get on thruway and take I-90E (toll).
- Take exit 39 to Rt 690 East.
- Bear left on Rt. 695 to Fairmount/Rt 5.
- Turn right on Rt 5 (West Genesee St) and follow to third

- Take I-81N to exit 16 (Nedrow).
