As part of a comprehensive distance education buffalo-seminary-campus-classroomprogram, and in service to the greater western New York State region, accredited master's level courses are offered via video conferencing. This capability links the community of learners in Buffalo and Northeastern's main campus in Rochester, N.Y. through live video feed, providing a real-time, interactive classroom.

The PolyCom interactive video distance learning technology allows for multidirectional streaming so professors can teach from either the Rochester of Buffalo location. They can engage students through lecture and multimedia resources at borth sites and students can interact with each other as well. This classroom format is integrated with on-site small group interactions and periodic chapel services to enhance community and provide instruction in spiritual formation-a distinctive of the NES education. A scheduled rotation of seminary staffing at the Buffalo site, steady communication among members of the seminary community, and cohort rapport provide the high-touch quality that is significant to theological education.

I am touched, reformed, challenged, changed, and yoked forever to the Word of the Lord thanks to my Northeastern Seminary journey. I am delighted that my Alma Mater now has a strong presence in the Buffalo area!

-Pastor Lynn Scarpine, M.Div., Lutheran Church in Mission for Christ

It's easy to recommend Northeastern Seminary to anyone from the Buffalo area with a call to ministry or seeking a closer walk with God. When I received my call, I felt I needed to attend seminary to organize my system of beliefs and at Northeastern I found their descriptive rather than prescriptive approach to instruction refreshing. I learned the importance of time in the classroom and time in sharing and hearing about the faith through deep spiritual formation done in community with my fellow students.

-Pastor John Heinike, M.Div., Nash Road Free Methodist Church

I loved my experience with NES - the faculty, the cohort model and the whole seminary experience was terrific.  As a pastor in the Buffalo/Southern Tier area, I am very excited about the Buffalo extension site opening up.

-Pastor Vern Saile, M.Div., Gowanda Free Methodist Church
