Northeastern Seminary Appoints Ministry Relations Liaison
Kevin Wilson joins the staff of Northeastern Seminary as ministry relations liaison. He provides Doctor of Ministry admissions counseling, recruiting for all degree programs, and increasing of the Seminary’s regional ministry network.
The ministry relations liaison’s goal is to advance the mission of the Seminary by recruiting for all programs, and by furthering connections with ministry leaders, churches, and denominational networks. Wilson enhances the admissions experience for all D. Min. prospects and applicants by following up with them and tracking their application process. He maintains and grows Northeastern Seminary’s database of contacts from strategic organizations in order to increase enrollment. Additionally, Wilson is in charge of attending various recruiting events and organizing all necessary components for such events.
Wilson formerly worked as assistant director for graduate diversity at the University of Rochester’s Kearns Center for Leadership. His mission was increasing graduate enrollment for underrepresented, low-income, and first-generation college students. Wilson’s commitment to assisting diverse populations can also be seen through his former work in graduate admissions at the Rochester Institute of Technology and through his service as a substitute teacher in the Rochester City School District.
Wilson, a former student of Northeastern Seminary, spoke about his time studying here: “I found that the staff and faculty operate with a level of excellence that I had never experienced at a college. This was a dynamic combination of ministry and education … I decided that if a position with Northeastern, in line with my experience and skills, ever became available that I would be certain to apply.”
Northeastern Seminary welcomes Kevin Wilson to the team.
