Pondering the relationship between music and the sacred is akin to investigating the ways in which we experience a divine-human encounter. With special attention to Wesleyan themes Dr. Don Saliers offers his understanding of the intrinsic nature of music to liturgy and essential aids to prayer and praise. From concepts of inclusivity in worship to reflecting a range of emotions and theology in worship his succinct and substantive delivery will lead to better understanding of the partnership of music and words as we sound the promises of God and sing of Christ.
