Rethinking the nature of conversion is happening in our time in a way that is leading to a wonderful new consideration of what it means to be the church. It can inform how we approach the ministry of evangelism and how we encourage one another, as disciples of Christ, to accept and embrace the call of God on our lives.

Pastors and lay leaders alike will be challenged by the insights of Bishop William Willimon and Dr. Gordon T. Smith and the practical workshops offered by gifted ministry leaders. Continuing education units offered.

Plenary sessions explore:

  • The pivotal place that conversion has in the process of spiritual growth
  • Assumptions inherent in our language of conversion
  • Perspectives that foster an approach to conversion that leads to personal and social transformation
Workshops topics include:
  • Ministry and conversion in postmodern culture
  • Conversion and transformation in the context of children's and youth ministry
  • Preaching as a call of God
  • The social impact of a radical conversion

Conference Costs


Regular Registration: $100 per individual
Group Rate: $80 per individual (6 or more people)
Late Registration: $120 per individual (after June 8)
One-Day Registration: $80 per individual

Northeastern Seminary is hosting an Alumni Banquet during the Conference on Ministry on Tuesday, June 16th at 5:30 p.m at Pearce Memorial Church Friendship Center.
