Master of Divinity
Overview
The M.Div. is a 92-credit program designed
primarily for those preparing for ordained ministry. It is also preferred
for students seeking to prepare for chaplaincy, missions, and parachurch
ministries. Students meet on a one-night-per-week schedule as part of a cohort of up to 27 students for the first two years.
Eighteen to 24 months are needed to complete other required courses and field
education experience. Specific denominationally-based ordination requirements
may be accommodated in the elective credits. For more information, contact seminary@nes.edu.
Full-time students can complete this degree in 4 years. NES also offers an accelerated program
for students interested in completing their degree in 3 years.

Requirements
To be admitted as a student in the Master of Divinity program at Northeastern
Seminary, the applicant must:

Have a baccalaureate degree from an accredited college or university.

Complete the application process.

Demonstrate readiness for graduate-level academic work and be approved by the
seminary admissions committee.
Elective Courses. NES students may take elective courses to
enhance their M.Div. or M.A. in Theological Studies degree programs from
Roberts Wesleyan College masters programs in Counseling, Psychology,
Education, Management, and Music on a space-available basis, if
prerequisites are met. Contact an admissions counselor for more information on
